Siddaramaiah to start assessing flood damages from Hunsur, but why?

Mysuru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah will inspect flood hit areas in Mysuru on August 30. Do you know from where will he be starting his inspection tour from this part of the district?

Siddaramaiah will start assessing the extent of damages from Hunsur assembly constituency. It was in news for many reasons for bearng the brunt of natural calamity and also the political development that took place in the recent months, that brought down Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress coalition government in the State.

A H Vishwanath resigned as JD(S) MLA from Hunsur. He is also a political bete noire of Siddaramaiah. If the Supreme Court that is hearing the petition of 17 disqualified MLAs including Vishwanath,  rules otherwise, the same Hunsur assembly constituency will also go into by-elections.

Deliberate or not, Siddaramaiah’s inspection tour that will start from Hunsur can be seen from many angles.

In a communique released from his office, Siddaramaiah will be leaving Bengaluru by road at 4 pm on August 29 and reach Mysuruat 6.30 pm. He will be staying overnight in the city, before leaving for flood hit areas in Hunsur assembly constituency on August 30.

He will reach Konenahosahalli in Hunsur at 10.30 pm and visit Abbur and Billenahosahalli.

He will later go to Nellihudikeri, Kondageri and Madikeri in Kodagu and return to Mysuru at 7 pm.

On August 31, Siddaramaiah will be travelling in a special flight to Mangaluru from Mysuru at 11 am. He will visit the affected areas in Mandhara, Pacchanady, Belthangady and Dharmastala.

Siddaramaiah will be addressing the party workers at Town Hall in Mangaluru at 5 pm, before returning to Mysuru in a special flight.
