1 min read

Bengaluru: Tumakuru Sri Siddaganga Mutt seer Sri Siddalinga Swamiji on Wednesday strongly voted for continuing B S Yediyurappa as chief minister of the State.

The Swamiji who met Yediyurappa along with the seers of several other mutts, said “Yediyurappa should be allowed to complete his term in office for remaining two years. It is risky to make any changes in the state leadership, when Covid-19 pandemic is yet to subside fully and the state is witnessing rain. We request the high command to continue Yediyurappa.”

Quoting the words of Yediyurappa, the Swamiji said ” Yediyurappa said he has been considered for the top post though he has crossed 75 years of age. All including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda have deep concerns.”

Yediyurappa also said that he will continue to work for the party, said Swamiji.

Similarly, several other seers voiced against any plans of discontinuing Yediyurappa and also warned of the consequences the saffron party will have to face both at the centre and State otherwise.
