Shootout in Vidyaranyapuram! Mysuru police arrest pistol supplier in Mumbai

Mysuru: The city police investigating into the shootout case at a jewelry shop in Vidyaranyapuram have arrested a Mumbai native on the charges of supplying a pistol to armed thief who gunned down a youth. 

The incident took place at Amruth Gold and Silver Palace on August 23.

Vidyaranyapuram police have already arrested three from Mumbai, Pune and Jammu and Kashmir regions. While three more were arrested in the case including another jeweller from the city who had hired the gang on supari. 

On Tuesday morning Mumbai based Rajan was arrested for supplying the pistol to this gang. He had sold the weapon for Rs 50,000.

Vidyaranyapuram Police inspector Raju arrested Rajan.

While some more persons suspected to be involved in the case, are absconding still.

Police have continued the investigation.
