Save Maharani’s NTMS School Struggle Committee to move SC against Viveka Memorial plans: Activist Arvind Sharma

1 min read
Mysuru: Pro- Kannada activist Arvind Sharma has urged the authorities at Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Mysuru to be benevolent to build the proposed Viveka Memorial without disrupting the functioning of Maharani’s NTMS School on Narayan Shastri road in the city.
Sharma who is a member of Save Maharani’s NTMS Struggle Committee, has stated in a press release that “while for now High Court has ruled in favour of Ashram, the committee will continue its fight at the Supreme Court. The High Court has ruled on the basis of documents, while there is a provision for appeal on the basis of priority at Supreme Court.”
According to legal luminaries, Suprene Court is vested with power to rule on the question of priority. Hence the committee will file an appeal after collecting the judgment copy of the High Court.
Still, the Ashram authorities can look into the proposal of the deputy commissioner to build the memorial without disturbing the school, added Sharma, along with S R Sudarshan general convener of the struggle committee.
