Mysuru: Members of Save Chamundi Hill Committee are preparing to intensify their campaign to protect the ecologically sensitive Chamundi Hills.
The move is in response to the construction work worth Rs 48.21 cr atop the hills – under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Agumentation Drive (PRASHAD) – was approved by Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy.
The forum has been opposing the PRASHAD project atop the Chamundi Hills as it believes that the project works will add to the growing pressure on the environment.
The forum has convened a meeting on January 10 to prepare an action plan to save the hill’s natural heritage.
