Sankey walkers take extra mile to help flood survivors

Bengaluru: Sankey Park Walkers Association, Bengaluru has lent a helping hand for the cause of flood affected people in Belagavi.

Pacchapura Gram Panchayat president Vandana Kamatagi receiving flogging machine from Sankey Park Walkers Association.

The association has distributed flood relief materials worth Rs 4.53 lakh for 426 needy families at Pacchapura village in Hukkeri taluk, located 40 km away from Belagavi city on August 23, Krishna Janmashtami.

The materials purchased from the amount collected from the donors included- mosquito nets, blankets, biscuits, rusks, stationery, torch, soap, brush, paste, biscuits, towels etc,

Two mosquito flogging machines worth Rs 30,000 was donated to Pacchapura Gram Panchayat. Panchayat president Vandana Kamatagi received the machines.

Association president Dr Anand, vice- president Mallappa Suladhala, coordinator Nagabushan, committee member Ravishankar, Muralikrishna from Sarala Yoga Vedike, village elder Vijay Shidlihala were present during the distribution of relief materials.
