Mysuru: ‘Samskruti -2020’ a special Handloom expo organised at JSS Mysore Urban Haat was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Rohini V Sindhuri on Friday.
A variety of handwoven and handloom products are on exhibition cum sale which will be on till December 6.
DC Rohini Sindhuri said “it’s a good place to shop, as varieties of handloom products are available”.
The deputy commissioner also visited every stalls and interacted with weavers and vendors.
Zilla Panchayat President Parimala Shyam, CEO D Bharathi, JSS Competitive EExaminatios Training Center director M B Dyaberi, JSS MMahavidyapeet’s executive secretary C G Betsurmath, Technical Education director C Ranganataiah, Shivananjappa, Coordinator of JSS Urban Haat Rakesh Rai were present.
JSS Urban Haat has organised the Special Handloom Expo with sponsorship of Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, Cauvery Handlooms, Bengaluru and the Department of Handloom and Textile, government of Karnataka.
