Saligrama cops bust murder mystery! Wife, paramour took cue from ‘Drishya’ movie

Mysuru: The Saligrama police in K R Nagar have busted a murder mystery that had rocked the taluk, three days ago.

A tempo traveller proprietor Anand was found dead and he was hacked to death. While earlier it was suspected that financial dealings were the reason behind his murder, the taluk police have cracked the mystery in just three days. 

They have now arrested a man and Anand’s wife for murdering Anand. The arrested are Babu (37), a resident of Kaluve Road in Saligrama and his paramour Sharada (25), wife of Anand.
 
According to the police, Anand owned two tempo traveller. He was friends with Babu, who grew close to Anand’s wife Sharada. Both had exchanged numbers and were in touch. Anand was unaware of this. 
 
However, Sharada allegedly decided to clear her way with Babu and allegedly conspired to eliminate her husband to conceal her illicit affair. 
 
Babu, allegedly as per her plan, invited Anand for a drink at the former’s place near APMC. Babu hacked heavily drunk Anand to death with a machete. Later, they decided to pass it off as an accident. Babu shifted the body in Anand’s two-wheeler and dumped it near Chunchanakatte Road. He laer, allegedly, cleaned himself off at Sharada’s place. 
 
While it was highly speculated that Anand’s financial dealings could have been the reason for his murder, the police’s investigation has shocked many. 
 
According to the police, the accused apparently took inspiration from Ravichandran starrer ‘Drishya’ a Kannada movie to eliminate Anand. 
 
The investigation team comprised Circle Inspector PK Raju, PSI (Crime) Madappa, KR Nagar station SI Chethan, PSI Arathi and they were guided by DySP Dr A R Sumith.
