Belagavi: The stage is set again for yet another political high drama. But it may unfold only after the conclusion of election season with the second phase of elections covering 14 Lol Sabha seats underway on Tuesday.
Former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi a Congress MLA from Gokak constituency has announced that he will step down as MLA for sure, but the time is yet to come.
Ramesh who is popularly known as ‘Sahukar’, had kept the top leaders of the grand old party including former chief minister Siddaramaiah on tenterhooks ever since he was dropped from the State cabinet, a few months ago. He had gone missing along with disgruntled legislators for sometime, only to resurface later.
While Ramesh has declined to comment further on his next move, has said ‘ I am technically still with Congress’.
Going by his praises on BJP State president B S Yeddyurappa whom he credited for dousing dissidence in saffron party, it may not be a surprise if Ramesh embraces BJP.
