1 min read

Mysuru: The Basava ( Bull) that had gained instant fame after it was caressed by none other than actor Darshan is no more.

The bull of Kalammana Koppal in K R Nagar taluk died on Friday. It was ailing from sometime and was in a critical condition for the past few days.

The bull that breathed its last on the temple premises was being taken care of, by the villagers. The bull had become a talk of the town during the recent Lok Sabha elections from Mandya seat.

The independent candidate and actor Sumalatha Ambareesh (now MP)  accompanied by actor Darshan in an open jeep was campaigning in the village when the bull came in the middle of the road, only to restrain the actors from moving further. When all efforts made by the villagers to shoo away the bull went in vain, Darshan,  a cattle rearer once had got down from the vehicle only to caress the cattle for sometime.

In no time, the bull moved away facilitating the convoy of Sumalatha and Darshan. The video of the incident had gone viral.

Recently when the bull fell ill, the villagers wanted Darshan to visit the ailing cattle. As the actor couldn’t make it, they are expecting Darshan to turn up at least to pay his last respects to the revered cattle.

Will it happen, let’s wait for sometime.
