Rs 50 lakh seized from farm house in H D Kote taluk

Mysuru: A whopping Rs 50 lakh which had been hidden under M-Sand in the shed of a farm house in Vaddargudi, H D Kote taluk was seized on Tuesday.

A team of election officers led by Joint Director of Food and Civil Supplies also the Returning Officer of H D Kote Assembly Constituency Kumuda Sharath raided the farm house of Drip Siddanayaka in Vaddargudi hamlet and unearthed the wads of notes concealed in the construction material.
Despite objections from locals about the timing of the raid, the officials proceeded with their search and found the money kept in a coverted manner.
Assistant Returning Officer P S Mahesh, Inspector Shabbeer Hussain and Lakshmikanth, Sub-Inspectors Rasool, Sharavana, Ravishankar and other officers were present during the raid.
