Rising Covid-19 cases forces business establishments to remain shut

Mysuru: The slow spike in Covid-19 cases in Mysuru has forced many business establishments in the City to remain closed on Sunday.

Although the lockdown has been lifted and the shops have been given a go-ahead by the government, many shops in Mysuru were shut. 

It may be recalled here that an eatery in Ittigegud was in the news after a man who had tested positive for Covid-19 had visited it. The authorities are in the hunt for customers who had visited the same hotel, now.
Major business centres like Shivarampet, Santhepet and other areas, shops were shut. However, some of the shops selling essential goods were functioning. More than 2,000 shops in business area were shut.
Since Sunday sees a good number of customers, the shops and vendors association decided to remain shut as the city was witnessing more number of positive cases for Covid-19.
