Mysuru: Reusable masks and hand sanitisers were distributed to pourakarmikas of Wards 49, 50 and 51 in the city.
BJP MLA S A Ramadas in association with Let’s Do It Mysuru distributed the essential materials to prevent coronavirus at Agrahara Circle in the city.
Ramdas said “As pourakarmikas are involved in cleaning activities it is essential to create awareness against coronavirus among them. The pourakarmikas who go home after work should wash their hands with soap before having their food. They should adopt home remedy to improve immunity by using turmeric, ginger, garlic and cardamom.
The body temperature of pourakarmikas and people present at the spot was also checked and an elderly woman with high temperature was advised to go to hospital.
