Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami arrested in abetment to suicide case

Mumbai: Mumbai police arrested journalist Arnab Goswami on Wednesday. Arnab the Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV was arrested in a two-year-old abetment to suicide case.
Alibaug police picked up Arnab from his residence in Mumbai in the morning hours.
Following a complaint by Adnya Naik, daughter of architect Anvay Naik who along with his mother had committed suicide,
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had announced that a re-investigation has been ordered on a fresh complaint by Adnya.
Adnya had alleged that “the Alibaug police had not investigated into the complaint of non-payment of dues from Goswami’s channel, which prompted her father and grandmother to commit suicide in May 2018”.
Following his arrest Republic TV has appealed to its viewers on twitter to support Arnab with ” India With Arnab” campaign.
