Remembering Indira Gandhi! KPCC plans empowerment of women labourers

Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesha Mahila Congress Committee ( KPCC) aims to educate women labourers as a tribute to  former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. 

 
KPCC women’s wing president Dr Pushpa Amarnath told media persons “today’s leaders should study Indira Gandhi as she is the icon of empowerment. So we are organising an awareness campaign in her name”, she added. 
 
 
On January 22nd the campaign will be inaugurated at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium with the focus on health, education and labour law.
 
Former CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC President Dinesh Gundorao and KPCC Working President Eshwar Kandre, Sushmitha Dev will launch the campaign, she stated. 
 
Apart from skill development and taking the benefits of the government to the participants, we will provide all the information during the campaign. Professional trainers will participate and educate the women employees. Free labour cards will be provided to all the participants, she mentioned. 
 
Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, former mayor Modamani, Dr T S Sujatharao, ZP member Lata Siddaraju and former mayor Pushapaltha Chikkanna were present. present.
