Mysuru: On October 2, the community of Jnanasarovara International Residential School Mysore gathered to honor the birth anniversaries of two great
leaders Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, with a meaningful programme
that commenced at 9 AM.

The event was graced by the presence of our
esteemed Secretary Sukhalatha Shetty, members of the Management Committee, Dedicated Teachers, Diligent Office Staff and Enthusiastic Students.

In remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi’s profound teachings, the programme
featured a cleanliness drive led by Principal Vishwanath Pandey.

This initiative not only aligns with Gandhiji’s principles of cleanliness and social
responsibility but also serves as a reminder of his impactful words.

As we reflect on the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, we are reminded of his
unwavering commitment to truth, non-violence, and justice.

He was a beacon of hope who united our nation in the struggle against colonialism and instilled a sense of pride that resonates globally. His legacy encourages us to strive for a just society, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, irrespective
of their background.

The choice of October 2 for this cleanliness drive is significant as it coincides
with Gandhi Jayanti, a day dedicated to celebrating the ideals of peace and
community service that Gandhiji championed.

We also honored the legacy of Lal
Bahadur Shastri, reflecting on his mantra “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” which underscores the importance of service to our nation and integrity in all endeavors.

As the school community participated in the cleanliness drive, we not only beautified our surroundings but also embodied the values of inclusivity and equality that both leaders stood for. Together, we commit to realizing the visions set forth by Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri—dreams for which they dedicated their lives.

Let us carry forward their legacy by promoting the ideals of cleanliness, social
justice, and harmony within our communities.
