Relapse of Covid-19, CM Yediyurappa hospitalised

Bengaluru: Following the relapse of Covid-19, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is down again and is admitted at Manipal Hospital for treatment.
Yediyurappa who had recently returned from the whirlwind campaigning for Belagavi parliamentary seat that is witnessing by-election on Saturday, that concluded with a road show on Thursday, had complained of fever. Arrangements had made to treat him at a hotel in Belagavi itself.
Upon his return to Bengaluru, he had undergone Covid test at M S Ramaiah Hospital, where the result came out positive for the virus. He later drove to Manipal Hospital.
Interestingly the chief minister who had received his first dose of vaccine, was due to take second dose shortly.
Earlier in the day, Yediyurappa had convened an emergency meeting of health and family welfare department officials at his home office Kaveri to discuss over the Covid situation in its alarming stage in second wave. He had also spoken to media persons later.
The chief minister tweeted later requesting all those who came in his contact to isolate and undergo the test as a precaution.
Meanwhile, wishes are pouring in for the speedy recovery of the chief minister, who had successfully recovered from the pandemicin the first wave too.
