Red Zone! No relaxations on lockdown in Mysuru, clarifies district minister

Mysuru: Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar clarified that there is no relaxations in lockdown in Mysuru district till May 3.

Somashekar reiterated that as Mysuru is under red zone, there are no relaxations in lockdown except for medical emergencies. The agricultural activities have been already exempted from restrictions, but IT and BT companies have been told to summon only the required number of minimum staff to office. The next decision will be taken only after assessing the situation.

Regarding construction activities, only the native labourers are permitted to be hired, while the restrictions on using out station labourers will continue. In case of emergent needs, the required permission should be obtained from the authorities. Hardware and metal shops will remain close, while the police permission is a must for plumbers and electricians, the minister said.

Somashekar visited Viveka Memorial a memorial of Swami Vivekananda near Sadvidya School in the city.
