Ramzan festival on May 3! Ruet-e-Hilal Committee decides for change in schedule

Benglauru: Even as the State Government has declared general holiday for Ramzan on Monday (May 2), Ramzan Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday ( May 3).

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s Moulana Maqsood Imran Rashadi on Sunday informed that “after the meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Karnataka in Bengaluru conducted under the Chairmanship of Hazrat Moulana Sagheer Ahmed Khan Rashadi (Convenor, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Ameer-e-Shariat, Karnataka) at Dar-ul-Auqaf, Cunningham road, Bengaluru, it was resolved to celebrate Ramzan on Tuesday”.

‘The moon was not sighted in the city of Bengaluru due to heavy rainfall and the Moon was also not sighted anywhere in India. First Day of Shawal (1443) will be on Tuesday (May 3)’, as decided by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Hazrat Moulana Mufti Iftekhar Ahmed Qasmi, Hazrat Moulana Abdul Qadir Shah Wajid, Hazrat Qari Muhammad Zulfiqar Raza Noori, Hazrat Moulana Ejaz Ahmed Nadawi and Hazrat Moulana Syed Manzoor Raza Abidi were present in the meeting.
