Rajyotsava brings ‘Kushi’ moment to Yoga capital Mysuru

Mysuru: As the list of awardees of Karnataka Rajyotsava was announced on October 28, there was many things to cheer about.

Kushi, a 16-year-old girl who has shot into fame with her yogasana performance has been selected for the annual award.

H Kushi along with her father Hemachandra, mother Kumuda and sister H Shreshta.

Kushi told Mysoorunews.com ” It’s a proud moment to be eligible for the award at a young age. I am indebted to State Government, parents and the educational institutions where i pursued my studies for encouraging me in my endeavour”.

Explaining about her schedule, Kushi said “I practice yoga daily for three hours and has been nursing the dream of becoming a teacher in Ashtanga Yoga”.

Kushi has vowed the gathering in China, Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai and South Korea, pocketing 10 gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze medals.

She is studying first year PUC at Vijaya Vittala PU College and did her schooling at St Joseph’s School, Vijayanagar.

She was also an ambassador of Swachh Mysuru campaign initiated by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).

Kushi’s father Hemachandra is an employee of Bharateeya Reserve Bank Note Mudranalaya Limited ( BRBNML) in Mysuru.

Kushi’s mother is Kumuda and younger sister Shreshta.
