Mysuru: Following complaints of question paper leak of degree exams, the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has decided to hold re-exam for degree classes.
The exams were scheduled from September 4 but there were allegations that question papers were allegedly being sold through WhatsApp. A complaint in this regard was lodged by Chandu, third year BCom Computer Science student at Jayalakshmipuram police station.
It is said that a student, suspecting question paper leak, had purchased question papers of Computer in Business subject. The exam was scheduled for September 20. As suspected, the exam had a similar question paper and a complaint was filed in this regard.
Following a complaint, the police visited the KSOU exam centre. Sources confirmed that exam papers were allegedly sold for Rs 3,000 and the police have taken Naveen and Murali into custody in this regard.
The police are yet to trace who sent these question papers on WhatsApp and from where.
