New Delhi: Pulitzer prize winning Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed in a fight between Afghan Special Forces and Taliban in Afghanistan on Thursday night.
According to the reports reaching here Siddiqui was killed in the clashes that broke out in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar in Afganistan.
The 41-year-old Soddiqui was heading the Reuters pictures team in India. He was covering from ground zero along with Afghan Special Forces.
Siddiqui who was based in Mumbai, was an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi where he graduated in Economics, followed by a degree in mass communication from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre.
He became the first Indian In 2018 to win Pulitzer along with his colleague Adnan Abidi for covering Rohingya refugee crisis.
