PSI-CET scam! Congress spokesman V S Ugrappa asks Minister Dr C N Ashwathnarayana to quit; minister hits back in style

Bengaluru: The PSI-CET scam has turned into a political slugfest with KPCC spokesman V S Ugrappa levelling grave allegations against Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwathnarayana.

Ashwathnarayana has also hit back saying “It’s not that easy to throw muck on my character”.¬†

In a hurriedly convened press conference at the party office on Queen’s road, Ugrappa demanded the resignation of Ashwathnarayana alleging the involvement of latter’s relative in irregularities related to recruitment of 545 PSI posts.

“If you are man enough, you have to resign at the earliest”, demanded Ugrappa along with MLC H M Revanna.

While in another media briefing, Ashwath Narayan sought to know have they (Congress leaders) produced anything to corroborate their charges.

“I am a clean man and it’s not that easy to throw a muck on my character. I have climbed the ladder without opting any illegal means. They are out to level charges against a person like me”, said Ashwathnarayana who took potshots at KPCC President D K Shivakumar without taking his name.¬†
