1 min read

New Delhi: The protesting wrestlers have threatened to throw their hard-earned medals into the Ganga river in Haridwar on Tuesday at 6 pm. They have also said that they would go on hunger strike “until death” at India Gate. The wrestlers are demanding action against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, whom they have accused of sexually exploiting women wrestlers.

Tweeting about the same, grappler Sakshee Malikkh said that it would be a waste to return their medals to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as they have not made an effort to listen to their miseries.

After the Delhi police manhandled and evicted the wrestlers from Jantar Mantar and denied them the permission to protest, the wrestlers have now decided to sit on hunger strike at India Gate “until death”.
