Prof Sharanappa Vaijinath Halse new VC of KSOU, Mysuru

Mysuru: Prof Sharanappa Vaijinath Halse has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru.
On Friday Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot also the chancellor of KSOU appointed Sharanppa V Halse as the new VC. He succeeds Prof S Vidyashankar who was recently appointed as the VC of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. He will be in office for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of office or until he attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier.
Prof Sharanappa Halse had earlier served as the registrar of Gulbarga Univeristy, Kalaburagi and HoD, Electronics, Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura and also the Registrar of Davangere University, Davangere.
Sharanappa has MSc in Applied Electronics, and 27 years of teaching experience with multiple research activities to his credit.
