Prof Rangappa speaks on Alzheimer at Hokkaido University, Japan

Mysuru: Former Vice-chancellor of University of Mysore Prof. K S Rangappa was recently invited by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, Hokkaido University, Japan to deliver a special lecture on Alzheimer disease and Cancer on July 21.
Prof Rangappa interacted with various Deans, Professors and Directors of the University. It is also noted that interaction with students got special attention on various aspects of Chemical Biology during the visit.

A meeting was held with the President of Hokkaido University, Dr HOUKIN Kiyohiro, Director, International Affairs Department, Eri Hata, Executive Director YUKIMATSDU Yasuhiro and Prof Kenji Monde of Hokkaido University.
During the deliberations, as an
Ambassador of Hokkaido University, Prof Rangappa suggested various scientific
activities including collaborations related to research between Hokkaido University and Universities in India and particularly Institutions and Universities in Karnataka. It is observed that International Collaboration on Multidisciplinary research is high time to discuss and order of the day to reach the target on various diseases like Alzheimer, Cancer, Diabetes including cardiovascular diseases.
