Mangaluru: Pro-Hindu activists belonging to several outfits have launched a campaign appealing the advocates to refrain from taking up the case in favour of pressure cooker blast accused Mohammed Shariq.

The activists owing allegiance to Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Durgavahini took out the campaign holding placards in seven different places in the town.

The placards read slogans like- Stop terrorism, Hang terrorists to name a few attracting the passersby.

This follows the recent incident of pressure cooker blast in a moving autorickshaw near Nagoori on November 19. The prime accused Mohammed Shariq and the auto driver suffered injuries in the incident.

The pressure cooker was fitted with improvised explosive device (IED) causing the low intensity blast, which was later confirmed as a terror act.
