Private Navaratri festival at Mysuru Palace enters second day
1 min readMysuru: Private Navaratri festival at Mysuru Palace entered second day on Friday. Unlike previous years, the private navaratri continues to be a simple affair, restricted to rituals for the consecutive second year, owing to Covid restrictions.
Pattada Aane (Elephant), Pattada Kudure (Horse), Pattada Hasu (Cow) and Pattada Onte (Camel) were all taken to kodi Someshwara temple in a procession along with Nadaswara artistes through Ambavilas Palace Elephant gate.
This time Pattada Aane Dhananjaya and Gopalaswamy took part as Nishane elephant to carry the royal flag.
Ganga puja followed by Simhasana (throne) was performed at Chamundi Totti with scion of erstwhile royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar taking part in the rituals.
Yaduveer has taken a photo along with his mother Pramoda Devi Wadiyar and son Adhyaveer Wadiyar, and shared on his social media account.
