Pregnant PSI succumbs to Covid in Kolar

Kolar: A 28-year-old pregnant woman succumbed to Covid-19 pandemic at R L Jalappa Hospital on Tuesday.
Shamili (28) a native of Kolar, posted on probation in Dakshina Kannada district is the deceased. She was seven months pregnant. As she was pregnant, she had not taken Covid vaccine, it is said.
She joined the service on January 12 and went on leave on April 20, even before the lockdown was announced. She was admitted to Jalappa Hospital on May 2 for Covid treatment. However, she succumbed to the pandemic today.
SP Kolar Karthick Reddy had paid personal attention in monitoring her health condition.
