Prayag- 2020 @ GSSSIETW on March 13! A perfect stage to hone talent of students

Mysuru: Department of Master of Business Administration of Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW) has organised a cultural and management fest “Prayag-2020” on March 13 on the campus.
The fest brings together students from various institutions in and around Mysuru and provide them a common platform to express their talent in a professional way. The winners are awarded with attractive cash prizes and certificates, according to Jayan V K Programme Coordinator and Associate Professor, Department of Master of Business Administration.
PRAYAG- 2018 was a big success in terms of students participation and involvement. Around 50 teams from various colleges participated and many of them awarded prizes from different competitions.
In PRAYAG- 2020, we are offering an “Overall Championship Trophy” for the college which scores maximum number of prizes. It consists of Fashion show, Treasure hunt, Quiz, Photography and Mad Ads.
Fashion show is one of the highlighted events. It is an extra ordinary opportunity for the participants to showcase their fashion talents with attractive backdrops, Music and lighting effects. The participants are allowed free to choose the theme of Fashion show. But a team can have only 8 to 10 members and maximum time limit for the performance is eight minutes.
Mad Ad is an “Advertisement Making Competition” and the participants should show their creativity in marketing products and services. The topics for Mad ads will be given on the spot and 30 minutes will be allowed for preparations. A team can have four to five members.
Photography competition aims to uncover unnoticed images around us. Successful photographs will communicate a visual narrative through excellent technical and creative skills. The theme of photography should be given on the spot and the photographs that are submitted for competition should be captured within the campus. Only one participant is allowed for the competition.
Quiz competition is to encourage the students to look beyond their textual knowledge. Quiz team should consist of two members and a maximum of two teams will be allowed from each college. It has five rounds including preliminary round and a rapid fire round.
Treasure hunt is another interesting event which challenges the participants to think and use their creativity to solve clues. A team should contain only two members and a maximum of two teams will be allowed from each college.
The events are framed in such a way to bring out the hidden talents within the students and give them confidence to express their talents in a professional way.
The registration process starts at 8.30 AM , followed by the events and winds up with a valedictory function. Our campus is a green campus and no plastics of any kind are not allowed inside the campus premises.
