Power play! Split in Pawar family, Party over embracing BJP

Mumbai: In yet another major political development there is a split in family of Maharashtra strongman Sharad Pawar.
Pawar who is the president of Nationalist Congress Party ( NCP) was caught unawares when he woke up on November 23 to hear that his party is forming a government in coalition with BJP.
Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar who is sworn- in as deputy chief minister is not enjoying the full support of 54 MLAs.
Its only about 30 MLAs including him who have pledged their support to BJP. While BJP claims to be having the support of all 54 legislators of NCP.
Meanwhile, Supriya Sule a Rajya Sabha MP and daughter of Sharad Pawar has confirmed about the split in family and party over the sudden political development.
The things are expected to be clear in the evening as Sharad Pawar has called for a meeting of his party MLAs at 4.30 pm.
