Water woes! Deluge near Palya gate on Mysuru- H D Kote road

Mysuru: Whenever it rains heavily, a part of Mysuru- Manandavadi road near Palya gate turns into a deluge.
The city is witnessing copious rainfall from September 22 and the problem has recurred with a stretch of road opposite to the petrol bunk turning into a pool of water.
A tea vendor nearby told Mysoorunews.com the problem recurs during every rainfall. The situation eases only when sun hovers on the top. Till then, motorists wade through water and its more worse in the case of pedestrians who are forced to change the lane, to avoid stain of water, if the water splashes on them.
The water stagnates as the pipe connecting the storm water drain is clogged due to the pile of waste that has remained uncleared.
