Mysuru: A woman carrying haystatack seeking ticket to contest elections. Lord Ganesha with a head torch to make it easy for the priest to offer puja in dark. A corrupt politician with many bandages on his face.

All these and many more in the form of cartoons and caricatures with a touch of wit to take on the current political system and social issues are all on display, 30 in numbers, at a two-day exhibition organised on account of world cartoonists Day on Saturday.

Cartoonist M V Nagendra Babu popularly known as Banter Babu has organised the exhibition at Mysuru Art Galley on Ramanuja road, 12th cross, near Gopika Agarbathi in the city.

Mysuru city and district Brahmins association president D T Prakash, social worker Raghuram Vajpayee and Himalaya Foundation president N Ananth were president during the inauguration of the exhibition.

If a visitor identifies a caricature he or she will  be rewarded with prizes.

The visitors at two-day exhibition of cartoons and caricatures at Mysuru Art Gallery on Saturday.

The exhibition will be open till May 6 from 10 am to 7 pm.
