Police shoot at man threatening to kill people with knife in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: Tension and chaos filled the air in the busy Kalaburagi market when a man threatened to kill people with knifepoint, on Monday. A video of the man holding knife and threatening people went viral and the police rushed to the police.
The man identified as Jaffer held knife and threatened people. Despite repeated requests by the police to drop the knife and not to harm people, the man threatened to stab whoever came near him. Onlookers looked for safer places as the police tried to capture him.
As the police’s efforts went in vain, the police reportedely shot at his leg. He collapsed and the police arrested him.
He has been shifted to hospital for treatment
