PM Narendra Modi arrives in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a two- day visit to the State on Monday. The IAF flight carrying Modi touched down at Yelahanka Air Base. The prime minister was welcomed on his arrival by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi. The prime minister who later drove towards Indian Institute of Science (IISc) inaugurated Brain Cell Research Centre.

It will be followed by a public convention at Kommaghotta in Yeshwanthpur Assembly constituency.

Later in the evening, Modi will be flying to Mysuru in a chopper and land at the temporary helipad in Oval Grounds. An interaction with the beneficiaries of various central schemes has been organised at Maharaja’s Grounds at 5 PM.
