Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday landed at his stronghold Varanasi, only to hit the road for a grand show ever in the hustings.
Modi the sitting MP of Varanasi will be filing his nomination papers on Friday, for the Lok Sabha elections.
Modi who arrived for a grand welcome of lakhs of people chanting ‘Modi Modi…’, offered a floral tribute to the statue of Madan Mohan Malaviya the founder of Banaras Hindu University ( BHU), at Lanka Gate.
He set out on six-km long road show up to Ganga gate with the whole route painted with saffron. The supporters irrespective of young and old have gathered to express solidarity with their MP aka PM.
