PM Modi dedicates Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to the nation

Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ten-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway at Hankere in Mandya district on Sunday.
After landing at PES College Mandya at 11.30 am, he began the road show around 11.40 am.
He went on a road show covering 1.8 km stretch greeting people who had gathered to catch glimpse of him. Later, he arrived at the highway near Amaravathi hotel.
He inaugurated the Expressway by taking a walk on the stretch near Hankere in the district. A red carpet had been laid gor the purpose and on the other side of the road there were folk troupes performing.
Later, he participated in a public function at Gejjalagere colony in Maddur taluk around 12.15 pm.
The 118-km Expressway built at the cost of Rs 8408 cr will reduce the travel time between the two cities to 1.5 hours from 3.5 hours.
