PKs in protective gear ready to collect bio-medical waste

Mysuru: With several people under home quarantine, the Mysuru City Corporation launched an unique drive to collect biomedical waste from such houses.
On Wednesday MCC commissioner Gurudatta Hegde launched a waste collection vehicle along with pourakarmikas to collect waste separately from such houses.
Hegde told Mysoorunews.com “from today onwards pourakarmikas wearing protective gear will visit those houses twice in a day and collect and dispose the waste scientifically.
Corporation is ready to deploy more number of pourakarmikas if necessary, he added.
MCC environment engineers Poornima and Mytri were present.
