People in droves pay last respects to Sanchari Vijay at Ravindra Kalakshetra

Bengaluru: A pall of gloom has descended on Ravindra kalakshetra, where the mortal remains of actor Sanchari Vijay is kept.

Vijay, 37, who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday night was declared brain dead by the doctors of Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta road on Monday night.

The death was declared on Tuesday wee hours at 3.30 am, after retrieving the organs for transplantation to the needy.

People in large numbers mainly the artistes of Kannada filmdom and various theatre troupes arrived to pay their last respects.

The mortal remains will be kept for viewing here till 10 am.

Later the body will be taken for the last rites at his native Panchanahalli in Kadur taluk in Chikkamagaluru.

All arrangements are being made to lay the mortal remains to rest at his friend Raghu’s farm in Panchanahalli.
