Mysuru: BJP district rural unit President Mangala Somashekar on Sunday termed the Gram Panchayat elections as the election that is largely dependent on the party workers at grassroots level.
Mangala who is also the ZP member told mysoorunews.com “GP elections are party workers election and the leaders will work for karyakarthas. In this way Shakthi Kendra and Mahashakthi Kendra teams will also work”.
Across the state six teams are formed to work for the elections. Mysuru Division is headed by Revenue Minister R Ashok, that includes Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar, Food and Civil Supplies and Hassan incharge minister K Gopalaiah, Horticulture and Mandya incharge minister Narayanagowda, BJP Vice- president B Y Vijayendra and BJP SC morcha president Chalavadi Narayanswamy are in the team.
Gram Swarajya campaign has been organised across the state from November 27 to December 3 to boost the morale of party workers at the ground level, Mangala Somashekar added.
