Palace city Mysuru wears royal look for Modi’s visit

Mysuru: The City of Palaces Mysuru wears a royal look to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

Narendra Modi who is visiting the city for the second time as a prime minister in the last eight years, will be arriving at 5.55 pm and take part in an interaction organised with the beneficiaries of various central schemes at Maharaja’s College grounds.

The prime minister will also inaugurate the Centre of Excellence of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) and kick start Mysuru railway station expansion project the second terminal at Naganahalli. Later, the prime minister will visit Suttur Mutt at the foothills of Chamundi and inaugurate KSS Sanskrit School and Hostel at 6.30 PM. It will be followed by a visit to Goddess Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hill at 7.35 pm.

The prime minister will be staying overnight at Radisson Blu Hotel on M G Road.

On Tuesday, the prime minister will take part in International Day of Yoga 2022 at Palace premises at 6.30 AM. After an hour long yoga demonstration, the prime minister will have breakfast with Wadiyars the erstwhile royal family of Mysuru at Palace.

The prime minister will also attend ‘Walk Through of Exhibition’ organised by the union ministry of Ayush at Dasara Exhibition Grounds.

The prominent circles in the city, especially the surroundings of the city are illuminated, followed by the road to Chamundi Hill.
