Bengaluru: Senior journalist Padmaraj Dandavati has been appointrd as the chairman of Karnataka Media Academy.
In a press release, from the under secretary to the government, Kannada and Culture Department and Information and Public Relation, it is said that Dandavati has been appointed for a period of three years from May 30 or till further orders.
A native of Muddebihal in Vijayapura district, Dandavati is the retired executive editor of Prajavani a prominent Kannada daily of the State. He had served Prajavani as its editorial head for close to a decade.
Dandavati is currently residing at Puttenahalli, J P Nagar seventh stage, Bengaluru.
