Over 20 injured as KSRTC bus hits canter off Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway

Mandya: Over 20 KSRTC bus passengers suffered injuries in an accident that occurred off Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway near Sanjo Hospital in Mandya on Monday.
The accident occurred when the driver of a Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus lost control and collided with a canter, causing the bus to overturn.
Several college students on board were injured, with five to six sustaining serious injuries.
The driver of the bus proceeding from Tumakuru to Mysuru, lost control while attempting to exit the highway and merge onto the service road toward Mandya city. It struck the canter on the service road before overturning on the spot.
Local residents and passing motorists quickly stepped in to rescue the injured passengers from the bus. They were initially taken to Sanjo Hospital for primary treatment, while those with severe injuries were later shifted to Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) Hospital for further care.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Kumara visited the hospital enquired the health condition of the injured passengers.
