Organic vegetables fair begins

Mysuru: A day-long organically grown vegetables and fruit fair has started near Happy Man’s Park on Kamakshi Hospital road, T K Layout in the city on Saturday.
Barring carrot and beans, other variety of vegetables like- avarekai ( broad beans), bendekai ( bhindi), badanekai ( brinjal), nuggekai ( snake gourd) beetroot and several others are available in a pocket friendly price.
Fruits like papaya, banana, butter fruit, banana shoot are also sold, along with leaves of types.
Flours of type made of ragi and rice are also available, along with munchies made of ‘Siri Dhanya’.
Farmers from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts are participating with their agricultural produces.
The fair is organised by Nisarga Trust once in a month on every second Saturday near Happy Man’s Park and third Sunday of every month near the under construction new Kamakshi Hospital at J P Nagar.
