1 min read

Mysuru: Sudhakar S Shetty former chairman of Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI) has urged the government to provide financial assistance to the students of backward classes to access online education.

Shetty also the chairman of CISPMAM has explained that “If the students are helped to access online education, it will help in their overall development”.

It is important to enable such students due to the swift change caused by prevailing crises over Coronavirus, in the present education system, which is yet to be tapped fully by the students of rural areas.

Of the total population in the country, people in the age group of 15 to 34 years account for the population of 46 crore. Among them 15 crore students are in rural areas. They are unable to buy mobile phones, laptop, tab or other equipment to access education online.

The government should consider this on a serious note and help such underprivileged students, added Shetty.
