On his arrival in city, CM chairs meeting to review preparations for Dasara, Covid control steps

Mysuru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa chaired a meeting to review preparations for Dasara and Covid-19 at Government Guest House in the city on Friday.

The chief minister directed the deputy commissioner to recruit required nurses and ‘D group’ staff for Covid hospital in the district to avoid delay in recruiting them through tender.

The chief minister also directed the authorities to take measures to return the excess amount charged at private hospitals in treating Covid patients. The hospitals in Bengaluru that had charged more than the tariff fixed by the government were made to return the excess amount, he added.

Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar apprised the chief minister that adequate measures are taken to check Covid cases. The testings have been increased.

Regarding Dasara, measures are taken to celebrate in a simple manner. To avoid the rush of people, alternative arrangements are made as per the advise of technical committee.

Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri explained that ” the private hospitals have consented to reserve 400 beds to treat Covid patients from this month. It will help in the treatment of Coronavirus patients”. 

Mayor Tasneem, MLAs S A Ramadass, L Nagendra and B Harshavardhan, MLC A H Vishwanath, MUDA chairman H V Rajiv, Additional Deputy Commissioner B S Manjunath Swamy, Police Commissioner Chandragupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare department Dr Javed Akthar, Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey, SP C B Ryshyanth, MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde were present.
