Officials raid six illegal stone crushers in Nagamangala, seal them

Mandya: In a joint operation, officials raided six illegal stone crushing units in Nagamangala taluk in the district and sealed them.
The units were functioning without converting the land for the purpose. The units at Begamangala, Vadderpura and Kabbinakere owned by one Narendra, crusher owned by Ravikumar at Ganga Samudra, Venkateshwara Stone Crusher owned by Devaraj of Kempanakoppal and Ayyappa Stone Crusher of Vaddarahalli were all sealed in the drive.
Tahsildar Kunzhi Ahmed said “Following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner illegal stone crushing units have been sealed. The losses caused to the State exchequer will be collected from the owners”.
The officials led by Tahsildar also included Udayaravi and Prasanna of the department of mines and geology, Rangaiah of Revenue Department, PSI Ramachandra of rural police station and Manju of Forest department.
