2 min read
New Delhi: National Students Union of India (NSUI) has lodged a complaint against Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and NTA director general at parliament street police station.

According to Nagesh Kariyappa, National Genetral Secretary, NDUI, the complaint has been lodged on the direction of NSUI President Neeraj Kundan.

Nagesh Kariyappa along with national Secretaries Varun Choudhary and Avinash Yadav has stated that ” We have been demanding to postpone the exams during Covid-19 pandemic. Or else, both, the minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and DG NTA should submit their resignation”.

“Even when many cabinet ministers of states have lost their life due to Corona, we all know that how dangerous it is for students to go to exams centres. The JEE-NEET exams are held when the country is facing more then 90,000 cases every day. The mismanagement by Narendra Modi government and education ministry have caused problems to students and infact students have committed suicide under such mental pressure”.

A girl student in Tamil Nadu committed suicide because she was not able to get her admit card. Students are facing real issues. Many students were trying helpline number issued by the government but even many students said there was no response. Parents of students are worried about the life of their children.

So NSUI demands the resignation and FIR against education minister and NTA director general. When the lives of the people are in danger then why at this only time it is very important for the government to conduct exams? The exams can be postponed for some time till things get better during this pandemic.

“We all know that the number of Novel  Coronavirus cases are increasing everyday. Our country has crossed more than four millions of cases and every community is suffering from this pandemic very severely especially the students of our country are suffering from this pandemic very much. They are under mental pressure because the decision taken by government to conduct exams during this pandemic created more pressure on them”.

Also in the states of Bihar, Assam and others, people are suffering from floods. It becomes very difficult for those students who are suffering from floods and at the same time from Corona to go to the exam centres, the release added.
