No New Year celebrations at Palace on December 31

Mysuru: Following the seven days State mourning declared by the State Government from December 26 to January 1, 2025, the Mysore Palace Board has cancelled new year celebrations scheduled at its premises on December 31, stated Palace Board Deputy Director T S Subramanya.
The State mourning has been declared following the death of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
Palace Board had planned the rendition of Karnataka and English bands from 11 pm to midnight and bursting of green crackers on December 31.
The illumination of Mysore Palace is also cancelled on December 27 and 28.
The Flower Show at Palace premises will go on as per schedule till December 31 and remains open from 10 am to 9 pm.
