Chamarajanagar: With the night curfew advanced to 9 pm to 6 am from Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner M R Ravi and SP Divya Sara Thomas inspected the main thoroughfares of the city to learn about the people’s response.
They visited commercial establishments on Deviation road, B Rachaiah double road and Bhuvaneshwari Circle and insisted some of the shopkeepers who had remained open to down shutters. The hoteliers were advised only to deliver the parcels.”

Answering to a media query, deputy commissioner clarified that ” tourist spots haven’t been closed yet, but the tourists are staying away from them.”
SP Divya Sara Thomas said, as per night curfew, essential services are allowed, while no unnecessary movements are allowed from 9 pm to 6 am. While the workers will be allowed only with ID cards. Today being the first day awareness will be created, followed by the booking of police cases from Thursday. The checkposts are opened at station levels.”
